The Ladies "B" league team ended their season with a resounding 8 - 0 win against Redland Ladies at Redland in Division 3 of the Bristol Ladies League.
The win means that they finish their fine season as Champions.
The team won 11 and lost two of the 13 games they played and with one game cancelled by the opposition they managed a very healthy 88 points out of a possible 112.
North East Bristol Bowling League Finals Day
Steve Andrews rink have qualified for the Fours Final at BAC (BAWA) on Sunday 1st September at 10.30 am. They will meet a four entered by Ian Curtis (Olveston). If you are in the area pop along and give some vocal support.
A closely fought final had both teams tying 15 shots all after the allotted 17 ends on a challenging rink.
Greenbank won the toss for the extra end and gave the mat to Olveston. As the skips went to the mat Greenbank were holding three shots. Neither skip changed the head with their first woods. The Olveston skip delivered his last running wood to perfection and the jack ended up off the side of the rink, causing a dead end. After the jack was reset the Olveston front two packed the head with good woods that Greenbank were unable to better leaving Olveston the winners.

I am sure that a few friendly faces amongst the spectators will be very welcome for Gerry's four.

The Ken Griffin Mixed Pairs
The first County Mixed Pairs competition organised by Peter Langley in memory of Ken Griffin (a much respected past County President) had the finals day at Barnwood on Saturday 28th September. Pairs from all over the County played initially in their respective sections with each section winner playing on the finals day. Greenbank entered three pairs which included Sue Humphries and Gerry Coffield. Sue and Gerry won the Bristol section to qualify for finals day. A victory against the Cheltenham section finalist set them up for a final against the Stroud pair which they finished the victors and thus became the first holders of The Ken Griffin Mixed Pairs Cup.
Well done Sue and Gerry.
Thank you Sue for your contribution to this page during the season, not forgetting Maureen Jacobson and Bob Bromley as well for keeping us all informed of the club results.
